What is Warmageddon?
Warmageddon is a fantasy land where the economy is based on gladiator combat.
The Warmageddon comcept began as an online RPG fantasy dueling
simulation, but has expanding beyond. Explore the website learn more about Warmageddon.
Why Warmageddon?
The idea behind Warmageddon started as we were playing Battlewang,
a virtual cock fighting game. Over time we got bored fighting the same
old cocks that dominated the game because they had the most money. Over
time the game became more and more about how much money you had rather
than experience and strategy. We believe that like most sports, that on
any given day one person can beat another person and luck does play a
factor in that, but we are well aware that if you are stonger, faster
and smarter, luck should not be the determining factor.
In honor of the lessons that we learned at Battlewang, we added the Bwang species to the game, so that they may always be fighting chickens.
What about the online comics and comic books?
The online comics and print comic books grew naturally out of the dueling simulation. The online comics are updated 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) . The online comics are collected regularly in the various Warmageddon comic book print collections.
Do you take submissions? How can I submit to Warmageddon?
Warmageddon takes submission for writers, pencils and inkers. Please follow the process below.
for Writers
To be considered you must contact us via the contact form (above).
Once you receive a response, you will need to provide
- a resume of published comic work (if published)
- links to web comic work (if applicable)
- 3 pages of sample action script (PDF format)
- 3 pages of a dialogue heavy script (PDF format)
- a short 1 paragraph pitch about the Warmageddon feature and/or idea that you wish to explore.
Writers must be familiar with the Warmageddon concept. If you're not
familiar with the concept then don't bother to send a query. We have Warmageddon Volume 1 : Foundations as well as our online comics for those that wish to familiarize themselves with the concept.
for pencillers
To be considered you must contact us via the contact form (above).
We need to see 6-10 pencilled SEQUENTIAL samples. Send DIRECT links or attachments after receiving a response form the contact from.. If you can
ink your work see the inkers instructions below.
for inkers
To be considered you must contact us via the contact form (above).
We need to see 2-3 inked SEQUENTIAL samples along with the pencilled pages. Send DIRECT links or attachments after receiving a response form the contact from.
